Description
Safety knife or utility knife? The versatile SECUBASE 383 can do both. This professional cutting tool is equipped with an automatic blade retraction mechanism to prevent cuts. However, certain cutting applications, including sawing, are easier with the blade locked in place. For this purpose, you can optionally lock the blade in seven different positions, allowing for flexible operation.

- Long blade exit
- "Long" is actually an understatement: The blade exits at a maximum of 7.8 cm. This allows you to effortlessly and safely cut materials such as 4-ply cardboard boxes, bagged goods, paper rolls and sheets, construction foam, and polystyrene sheets with the SECUBASE 383.
- Locking and retraction
- If you want to use your SECUBASE 383 as a utility knife, you have a choice of seven settings (cutting depths from 7 to 73 mm). Afterwards, release the lock – and the blade retracts as usual.
- Ergonomic handle
- To protect your hand, the SECUBASE 383 is ergonomically designed. The slightly tapered handle feels very comfortable. Further evidence of this is the sliding mechanism, which moves particularly easily thanks to the ramp.
- For right and left
- The SECUBASE 383 is designed for right-handed users as delivered. Left-handed users can simply rotate the blade 180° and then use it. The slider and locking mechanism are operated with your thumb.
- Easy blade change
- To access the long, flexible blade, use the blue blade change button at the end of the handle. Now you can pull out the inner part, including the slider. The blade is held in position by two magnets.
