The basis for a clean cut and rapid work progress is the particularly powerful EC motor and the STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain. The speed-dependent, automatic chain lubrication is another advantage of the STIHL GTA 40. For precise handling, the cordless pruner features an ergonomically shaped operating handle with hand guard and an upper grip area for the second hand . This grip area is shaped to prevent slippage as much as possible. The claw-shaped deflector geometry in front of this area visually and tactilely separates the upper grip area from the cutting attachment. The mechanical operating system with a rocker switch on both sides, the variably adjustable chain speed , the sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioner , and the LED charge level indicator are further advantages of the GTA 40.
