The 3M™ Scotch® 471+ tape is a blue plastic paint line tape used for high-quality painting work.
Its excellent conformability allows for easy masking on tight curves and uneven surfaces. Its thin profile makes it particularly suitable for use with water-based and solvent-based paint systems. Its strong paint adhesion enables sharp paint edges and makes it resistant to paint contamination from particles. It offers excellent long-term adhesion, preventing premature peeling from surfaces and providing good adhesion to painted surfaces, glass, and rubber. It is especially useful for decorative paintwork (e.g., motorcycle tanks), rounded body panels, plastic parts, profile rubbers, and window masking.
